Following six months of deliberation, the Scottish Government’s Planning and Environmental Appeals Division (DPEA) have gone against the decision made by the Highland Council, who refused planning permission, for the erection of a Met Mast.
We believe that the Scottish Government have never refused planning for a Met Mast, and so it was always very likely that this would be the outcome.
We are currently working through the Reporters decision document which although allowing the appeal, also states that the mast will cause an adverse visual and amenity impact.
In the meantime, we wish everyone a peaceful Christmas, and all the very best for the New Year.
